What is High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)?
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-invasive treatment that delivers targeted ultrasound energy to bypass the epidermis and precisely reach the deeper layers of the skin. It focuses on the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS)—a connective tissue layer that links facial muscles to the dermis. The SMAS plays a crucial role in transmitting, distributing, and amplifying facial muscle activity.
HIFU generates focal point temperatures of 60-65°C, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin. This process strengthens the connective tissue, leading to skin tightening, lifting, and rejuvenation.
Expected Results & Treatment Frequency:
A 10% improvement may be visible immediately after treatment.
60-70% improvement is typically seen within three months.
Full results (100% improvement) can be achieved within six months.
HIFU is generally recommended once a year, but for those who wish to repeat the procedure sooner, it can be done after six months. Before-and-after photos are advised to track progress and assess results.
